Gary Martin started Teknotika Records in 1993 after 10 years of band projects that involved many categories of music. In 1993 he also began to deejay and has since worked around 100 times in well over 10 different countries. For example: The Rex in Paris, The Liquid Room in Tokyo, and Hart Plaza in Detroit.
Garys records have been played by, charted, and used in mix CDs by a countless number of deejays. For Example: Jeff Mills the Exhibitionist, Sven Vath the Sound of the Sixth Season, and Miss Kitten on the Road to name a few. His Label has over 40 releases and promotes over 10 different artists. The roster includes Futago Technologies, the Sense, Elliot Taub, Gigi Galaxy, Deetron and More. Gary has also released on a number of labels, Exceptional, KMS, Ingoma, Eye Q, and more. Lets not leave out the remixes such as 2 times for Gus Gus, and the license deals such as Sony. Ok now you want to hear about the classics. Black Forest charted 8 times in one issue of Groove Magazine in Germany. Casa Cugat was a hit in Turkey. Ritual Fire Dance and Pimping People In High Places were hits in Europe. In both his deejay sets and his releases Mr. Martin knows how to make techno the tasteful choice of music.
